• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

For me it was the opposite. Became a nihilist. I let that sink in for a while and became suicidal as a result.

Hello,
I feel just like you, but don't you think that can be the reverse? A latent nihilism and the perception of the uselessness of life brought you to become suicidal?

I was just saying that. I think that I went through the same steps..

Do you have had some reading that brought you there or it was just because your life experiences?

Life literally is the most pointless thing ever. I see death as making all life meaningless. Eventually we will all be forgotten. These thoughts have contributed to me being suicidal, I see life as not worth the energy. We suffer just for the sake of suffering. Any kind of meaning people say that this life has is a delusion to me.

I agree that life is ultimately meaningless, but it's hard to act like a total nihilist (moral nihilists claim that no action is ever morally preferable to any other; that's hard to swallow)

Personally I'm not too bothered by the ultimate pointlessness of life, what really bothers me is suffering in all its diverse forms.

Suffering makes me terrified to live life, and it makes it impossible for me to love life. I harbour lots of contempt for reality for allowing the suffering that it does, for imposing difficulti s onto me which I want no part of, and forcing me to make difficult decisions where I'm always losing something no matter what choice I make.

Yes I see life that way too. Like Jim Carrey said: "We don't matter. That's good news."

a total nihilist sadly is the only truth in this life
