Can´t argue with that it seems like 80% on this forum is going with that method.

Why don´t you use partial hanging? You just need a rope, there is also train decapitation, suicide jump etc,

"$400" looks like USA terminology. Americans are the envy of the world for easy access to firearms. A decent shotgun and a box of shells from a pawnshop is well less than four hundred dollars, and there is no more viable method. Have you investigated that route? Maybe it isnt your time to CTB.

Too all who replied, weapons would be easy access but I can't afford anything but a handgun and geuss what, you have to be 21 to own one in the U.S. I'm only 20 I won't be 21 until August, I've been battling this deppressjon my entire life, and rn I'm at my worst, I've pushed away everyone all my family and I feel so alone and cold, been this way for many years but this is the coldest I've ever felt I have no emotions anymore, no bad no good, just suicidal intentions and that's it

Damn I'm so sorry!and I'm sorry you don't have the opportunity to buy online, I wish so bad I could help you!! Train sounds terrifying, all methods do, facing what comes after death and suicide itself is terrifying but train is even more so. I'm so sorry!!! Stay strong please! For whatever you choose to do!! Dm me if you want I'm very happy to talk! I was in the situation where I felt like I'm just gonna do anything that will do the job and kill me because I feel cornered. I don't know your situation, maybe yours and mine are very different. I'm guessing they are because I wasn't really in the place where I couldn't wait a bit longer or try to find another method or not to have access to buying SN, I just emotionally couldn't wait any longer, and I was in a situation where I couldn't have and even didn't know about SN, 6 years ago when I had my first attempt, I did the wrist cutting, I don't think I did it well, I only did on one hand and I think maybe it wasn't deep enough, it hurt to cut and I had to have a strong will to keep pushing the razor blade which if I'm honest I didn't have very strong. I have no idea how you must feel and what it's like to be going through what you are going, I'm so fucking sorry!! I'm so sorry for your pain!!!

but if you've been looking for a method for over a year the maybe you could wait until august?
it's right around the corner at this point and even a handgun can be very lethal. I have absolutely no idea about gun prices, or your financial situation, but you could wait a bit longer, probably save some money and then get something that you are comfortable with.

and not to encourage you or anything, but there's always hanging and the charcoal method, they require very few materials and are mostly reliable. the charcoal one needs a bit more preparation and an enclosed space but I find it more peaceful.

You'd be surprised how many attempts using a gun are botched and the individual survives. I saw a video of someone who shot himself in the face with a shotgun and survive. That's the fear of surviving something like that, making the situation worse and adding to the torment plus you could wind up physically unable to CTB which would be the worse thing imaginable not being able to make that journey on your own terms. Completely helpless, I can hopefully assume that most of us would rather avoid something like this from happening if possible.

I'm 23, I've been dealing with this my whole life too. My first attempt was at 17. Have no idea how I made it to 23, regret it if I'm honest. Always kept thinking something will happen to make it better, nothing ever happened, it all just got worse, more painful. I don't know I just thought maybe you'd wanna know there someone close to your age here
