barbiturates availability in black market

I have zero knowledge about barbiturates and I suppose that because regular people don't have access to barbiturates criminals dont have access to barbiturates too but I can be wrong.
1. Has anyone of you guys ever heard that barbiturates are available on black market ?
2. Is it illegal to possess barbiturates if you are not a doctor ?

seems a lot of suicide in the past has been been by Barbiturates and probably quite peaceful, there is an article online about suicide in Holland between 2006 - 2017 by barbiturates so I guess they are or were available.

1. No, and if you do it will be an extremely rare to find.

if they still exist then they will be on the dark net, if there was an increase in deaths between 2006 - 2017 in Holland from barbiturates then that was fairly recent.

I think I saw phenobarbital on the dark net recently. It's a slow acting barbiturate so you'd need a long time window for it to work and maybe mix it with something else.
