He had mentioned to me that he was going to have someone document it and post a success thread but I guess that hasn't happened yet or maybe something fell through in that regard.
Either way if he wasn't successful he surely would have come back to document the process himself and let everyone know what he thinks went wrong.

The user potatocube did the same, but someone said in his farewell post that the attempt with SN failed, but he never entered the forum again
Exactly why I was asking. In his GBT he said he was going to have someone document his journey but so far crickets. No posts that state they are gone or not. Being offline since then is not an indicator in itself.

I only know he send me a message stating it was his last before ctb.
If he didn't share his personal information with someone else it's very hard to track down of someone really passed over.

i've spoken with the third party that documented it that Joe had linked with. they are kinda going through it so I will be posting it as soon as I receive it. I can confirm it was successful via first hand info.
appreciate y'all keeping him in mind. things will be posted asap.
please refrain from speculation etc. it negates the safety measures everyone has taken. much love.

Out of respect, let them be at peace.I had immediately "assumed" success - they were well-informed, had just had a friend have success, sent personal goodbye messages & posted their GBT & then nada. I "think" Joe would've come back to report what went wrong, if something did. I feel uncomfortable speaking for other people, hence the quote marks, but I have started saying "y'all" for the first time in my life in their honor (just around the house, I'm Australian, I sound ridiculous, & I did the US spelling of honour on purpose for Plato). They are missed. And there's no right way to say I look forward to reading the documentation - it sounds icky but they'd know what I meant - I hope it was a smooth ride & they got where they were supposed to go. While I am fairly practical when it comes to death and other such issues but the bottom line is someone hurt so much they only saw one way forward and that is a tragedy. However, I do believe they are where they are supposed to be now and are at peace, and that is a wonderful thing. It is so peculiar to me that I can be both happy and sad at the same time, for someone I "only knew on the internet". In a lot of ways I feel more connected to the membership here than I do to the people I have in my real life. May peace be with each and every one of you -- both those who have gone on and those who are still here. Similar threads
