Try to think of this as a chance to get some sleep (unless of you're on 5 minute checks, of course) and try not to flip out so you can avoid being sedated involuntarily. You can't really make any decisions for yourself about what happens, so you may as well let your mind coast a bit.

It's not always horrible. On my last stay, I did get an insight that was helpful for me. It happened during a forced group session an addiction (I do not suffer with addiction issues) and it wasn't until the fifth day - but it really did help. So there's that. There is always the possibility that something there - even something small - might help.

Just put one foot in front of the other, do as you're told, and hopefully it will be over soon.

In the meantime, we're here and we're listening.

I am so sorry you got roadblocked for a bit. Sadly that pain can't be taken away by psych ward staff or meds either. It's excruciating. I am just glad they allowed you to keep your electronics!

I do have to say, the Hospital (called St. Lukes), I was at for my psychology stay had good food. I liked their cheeseburgers.
