• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

CTB-ing next month.
Unfortunately, my country is still making slow progress on mental health issues.
I am not gone already because I care too much about my family, and, i am ashamed of committing suicide.
I know that the day I die, people will start shaming my family for not raising me correctly.
My death will already be a huge blow to my parents, the last thing they need is a circle of unsupportive relatives speculating where they went wrong in my upbringing.

Because of this, I am considering asking my parents to not tell people about my death, in my note. I don't want a funeral. I want them to keep it all quiet.

Tell me, am i thinking rationally?

It is something that sooner or later ends up being known, and even more so if the relatives are familiar. Still I understand the desire to go as unnoticed as possible; make it clear that they are not to blame and that they have been wonderful parents.

About the funeral...I see it more difficult. I would not like a ceremony either but that is a thing of the living, their way of saying goodbye.

Yes. Asking your family to keep the circumstances of your death private is a rational thought.

If you do decide to go through with it you may suggest an explanation that they can give such as your death was accidental in some way - I don't know what method you'll be using.

These are concerns of a living person. Once you're dead it won't matter who knows what. You're speaking as if you'll be able to be ashamed or embarrassed about your past tense suicide. Let everyone living worry about those things. Trying to control things from the grave is futile.

Yes, it is rational to think like that. You want to make it easier for your family, they will already be grieving and it is likely to make them feel worse if they have relatives to deal with.

I am faced with the exact same situation as you. I must however make the decision to live or die based on what is best for me ultimately
