I haven't signed up but I would like to. My parents are a little more conservative so they don't want me to.

However, the method I am considering is drowning so I am not sure if any of my shit are salvageable.

Absolutly. In fact, I believe that everyone should be automatically enrolled as organ doners. It's a crime to let good organs rot in the ground in my opinion. Some people want to live and I respect their rights just as much as I respect our right to die.

It's a controversial stance but the way I see it, ownership of ones owns body ends with the loss of sentience.

I was until just last week. Had it removed on my renewal driver's license. Who would want these? My organs are garbage. I consider it a young man's game, something to brag about that your organs are good enough to donate. Mine aren't. They're torn and tattered. Not worth letting a dog eat them.

Besides that, imagine if you were dying and they come along and said they had other people's parts to save your life. To hell with that. I'll be damned if I pass on the curse of life. Didn't have kids either, thank goodness.

Yes, I am. I don't have a driver's licence, so I manually enrolled before my major surgery this year. However I am profoundly disappointed by the class character of organ donation.

The need to avoid being found may jeopardise my ability to donate in practice. For that I am very sorry.

I also suspect that my organs would not be used due to my grey eligibility.

edit: In Australia, donor registration is comparatively quite high and very underutilised, even considering the fact most of us won't be dead any time soon.

I think when I moved to Aus, I signed up when I did my license. But they have since been cooked by bucket loads of chemo and radiation, so unlikely to be of any use.

To be successful organ donor you need to be brain-dead but physically alive in controlled clinical environment.

I've thought about this a lot and have done extensive research on this. I figured the only way to guarantee my death as well as be an organ donor is to shoot myself in the head in a hospital, so that is the way I plan on going.
