I've had some eating habits and problems with food since childhood, so I just couldn't stop eating. I still struggle with it, and I really want to stop, but I'm not ready to make the commitment. Are there any ways to stop the urge to eat so much? And is starving an effective way?

Vyvanse is an ADHD medication that is also often prescribed for binge eating disorder as it typically lessens your appetite and also helps with impulse control. I can say as someone using it that has both ADHD and BED it has helped be dramatically. It's available as a generic now as well so the cost has come down in the last year.

Starvation isn't a good way to go, your body will eventually give into SI and force you to eat something. The only people I've heard of successfully ending things this way are people in hospitals that are heavily medicated and observed (sometimes restrained) to make sure that they don't suffer from SI kicking in.

After doing a lot of benadryl I didnt eat , I'd starve myself completely.i lost 50 pounds at one point.

But it's not worth the possible psychosis.
