Rebreather is a meh in practice. In theory, yet.

exit bag is much closer to a plane depressurizing in that unconsciousness happens in a few seconds. Said another way, if you walked into a room or 100% nitrogen, you would take a breath, maybe another, and then realize something is off as you fall to the floor unconscious.
