Just wondering whether to go with regular therapy or hypnosis. I'm used to depression now and don't think I'd bother doing anything about it, but the anxiety is horrible. I found a hypnotist that specialises in anxiety in my area but it costs like £100+ a session. Therapy is £50-£60 last time I checked but I feel like I need more immediate results. However it's a LOT of money! Although I couldn't really put a price on not having to deal with anxiety.

I'm not really in "recovery" as such (I think I'm too old for that at this point) and still intend to CTB at some point in the next year but I want to get my anxiety under control in the meantime. Has anyone tried hypnotherapy? It's supposed to work well for anxiety. Doctor won't offer anything but antidepressants and I don't want to go on them.

I honestly haven't but I'm not sure where your located unless Britian so I'm going to take a guess and say that's where you are. I have some friends there that also suffer from anxiety and they've done weed and that's helped them a lot. Another thing to try (also illegal sorry) is psilocybin mushrooms have been proven in micro doses to help a lot of different things. (Please don't take my word just do some research.) and that's all I would suggest I know these aren't legal options but I think suffering is worse than committing a couple crimes.

@Shrooms hey yeah am in the UK I just tend to come on here really late when my anxiety is at it's worst. I wouldn't try weed just because I have a sibling with Schizophrenia so it's a risk for me personally. Glad it has worked out well for your friends, do they not have to worry about paranoia with weed tho?

I have done liberty caps but I was in a bad headspace at the time and still don't feel ready to try them again (don't want to freak out!) unfortunately I'm someone who fears losing control. In fact one of the reasons I thought about hypnosis was so I could try mushrooms again and not have to worry about my anxiety as I do want to have an awesome trip one day. I live right near a field full of mushrooms but didn't even bother picking any this year because I knew I would be too scared to trip. I probably should've picked a few just to microdose tho as I have heard good things about them, unfortunately the season here just ended 😞

Heard a lot of people who had hypnotherapy, not exactly for anxiety, but it worked for their problems

I tried it with one guy for a while and it didn´t work. I was never even hypnotized.
