• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

    ๐Ÿ‘‰ View the ledger here

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

i feel like i dont expect anything in return from animals. it is enough just to care for them and love them. i volunteer at a dog shelter and never have i wanted anything in return from these dogs. just their happiness is enough.

humans on the other hand i often find so disappointing. i think it is because they can communicate with you through a shared language, which often makes interactions painful. i dont like that i understand humans because of their capacity to hurt, but im perfectly content with not understanding animals aside from their body language.

i find it super hard to care about other people and their suffering/pain/death but whenever i see nature and animals suffer it always makes me feel bad, i care a lot for them, not sure why but i've been that way since i was a child

I just find animals much easier to trust. They tend to be more honest and predictable.
Humans are much more deceptive.

I have a hunch, that ideologies and faiths, or just culture at large, might be to blame. Other species doesn't filter their impressions through complicated frameworks.

i feel this way too... humans have the great capacity to lie, whilst animals abide by laws that are easier to understand. the spoken language is a gift and a curse with humans i feel

I care a lot about animals. I always wanted to work with dogs someday as a part time thing.

But Ive applied but eh. But animals are just the best to cheer ya up when people cant.

They wont judge you. Plus they care

100%. i feel like with animals, they are very pure and can't really hurt us the same way people can, at least with intent. when i was younger and even now when im at a friends house (even if they are my best friends!), i see myself isolating from them for a bit just to hang out with their pet dog or cat. i just think me personally i hold a lot of subconscious resentment for people

Yup, I've always been the type of person who'd much rather hang out with animals than with people. Despite having family that will probably miss me when I die, they're not what's keeping me here. What's keeping me here currently is my two cats. Nobody gets them like I do, and they're the most important living beings in my life, period. Might sound sad but it's true
