I quit on SOC because the monolith is too hard+ got lazy at the end of the game, and currently playing COP with gunslinger, atmosphere, and absolute nature 4.
I was wondering if anyone had played the STALKER series like I have.

If you like the Stalker games, you may also want to check out Chernobylite.

I never played any of those games in single player, but I did play the first Stalker game in multiplayer at a LAN a few times, many years ago. Those graphics were well made, showing broken down European environments in a scary and cruel way.

I've played a bit of Stalker: Call of Pripyat and the mod Stalker: Anomaly.

I really like the concept and atmosphere of these games.

I'm also fond of Metro 2033, Escape From Tarkov, and Chernobylite (they all are in a similar family but differ as far as storylines).

Yes. Besides environments and atmosphere in some places it has little to offer. Quests are repetitive, there's no real characters and the combat is janky. The upcoming sequel looks promising, however will it go, especially with war going on in Ukraine.
