I know the God of War games are pretty imaginative as far as bosses and stuff but I've never managed to stick with them long enough to see it. Mainly because of the linear aspect of them. Like 'follow this single path killing enemies until the next level, then rinse and repeat'. It's something I struggled to stick with when there's so many other games that let you free roam and explore. That said, I see the more modern God of War games and wonder if maybe the IP has evolved to be more free roaming. If so I think I'd be into it.
It's funny really because I played all sorts of side scrollers which are linear so I don't know why I wouldn't enjoy a linear 3D title. Maybe I'll return to it. I should give it a another try I think.
Out of interest have they become more of a free roaming game these days? The last title I had/played was a few consoles ago lol. Maybe PS2.

I'm not excited but yes I'm getting it next week, I want to know what happens in the story, I am looking forward to it.
