Anyone else not care about the deaths related to the Coronavirus?

Actually, I don't care about any particular deaths unless I was close to them. People act like they care about some stranger dying, but we're only meant to have empathy for those close to us. Our family was our tribe for most of history.
Sadly, yes I am cold towards what is happening, meanwhile my classmates are in outreach programs for the frontliners, I can't make myself care because I can't save everybody, and I'm a fucking hypocrite cause I know what it is like to be underprivileged (lack of love) and yet I am not helping, I am just playing games and watching anime, fucking hell this world isn't supposed to be all roses, FUCKING HELL we have to be privileged to find love, and I would rather live in a world filled with despair with no love at all, than look for love in pain
I'm also kinda heartless towards it, people tell me I should be kind and caring etc, because these deaths are needless and shouldn't happen, what? so everyone who gets hit by car and dies, or is murdered and so on, I have to mourn them too?
I don't see the point of weeping over people who are nameless and faceless to me, hell people close to me won't weep when I pass, so why should I give a crap about strangers!

I don't feel bad for them because, for me, dying isn't a bad thing, we will all eventually die. I feel bad or the ones who got their lives destroyed, especially poorer people in poorer countries, in the next months we will start to see people facing hunger, violence, unemployment, homelessness, pain, stress etc. Nobody should live through any of this, but dying? Everybody will die.

Death in general has never moved me much.
I feel worse for the people who are standing in line at food banks for hours only to be turned away because there's nothing left.

Depends entirely on my mood. I'm an empathetic person as a whole, but then I have days I remember how fucked up humanity in general is and think it's no big loss, even if we all went and left the animals to it.
I don't care because everyone is just going to become desensitized to it like gun violence. It's not we will get proper healthcare. It will definitely happen again with another virus.
I don't care tbh. I'm also sick of everyone pretending to care about strangers dying - most people don't care either. They just want to look good to others

nah. are people seriously expected to be upset for every single death in this world? or, to be more specific, every publicised death? that's a lot of people for one person to mourn over. not like mourning does anything anyway - what's the point?
I pretty much feel the same way you do unless the death resulted from some massive display of inequity. That's probably why I don't understand people's fascination with watching the news. I couldn't care less.
Not that I don't care just I am de-sensitised. I have heard about people dying every day for the past few months. So every time I hear x amount of deaths I'm like ''o''. Then I move on.

I feel disconnected to everything that is happening. It doesn't cause me any emotion, but it does partially give me an unsettling feeling. They have loved ones, dreams, and probably most of them wanted to live life to the fullest. It is sad, but it doesn't make me cry. I'm emotionless at this point.
I can relate. If I'm being honest, my actual regard for human life has changed somewhat. I don't think our lives are any more valuable than the animals, trees, or other species on this earth. That's not to say the deaths aren't tragic and untimely; they are. It's just that I feel nothing.

Yep. Still well under .1% of my country's population (last I saw) and of those deaths, most would've probably died anyway from pre-existing complications like diabetes, cancer, heart disease, etc.
It's sad but at the same time people are the reason it exists.
I feel way more sad for the animals that died from it like dogs and cats. People actually killing their dogs and cats cause they think they can catch it from them . Fucking morons.
Hmm, kinda? I don't feel grief over it, but I feel for those who've lost people. I'm just not exactly sad about it. I'm moreso scared that it'll happen to someone I know.

I was talking to my granddad the other month and he said it reminded of the blitz. Shocking at first but then just turned into a grim weather report.
Don't get me wrong, I can't express how sorry I feel for those who have lost loved ones, I guess it just feels so distant in a way.

Me I don't really care that said I do wear a mask I work in healthcare and I do care about my residence and spreading the pathogen but at the same time I do not believe that this pathogen is any more dangerous than certain pneumonia and other types of flu that being said it is not a hoax it is real and it seems to possibly cause swelling of cardiac tissue and certain people so even though it doesn't have a high kill rate it can cause some possible permanent damage that people don't realize but this whole like pandemic hype is way overhyped also I just feel insensitive towards people as a whole I watched Kyle Rittenhouse Blow Away 3 antifa nearby to where I live and Not only was it self-defense in my opinion and according to the letter of the law but when I watch them die I not only felt nothing but a sense of satisfaction that finally someone was fighting back I am anti racist but the way that these supposed anti-racist fools go about their b******* is going to create racism burning and destroying property and attacking people for their speech however disgusting that speech maybe is not the way and honestly I'm feeling like very insensitive towards people as a whole I hope that that will subside and I will get my feelings back because my beloved Maisie would not like my attitude she's a major liberal( just joking I'm actually married and love my wife much more than I would Maisie but Maisie my fantasy girl). All these Liberals are all about wearing these masks and caring about the coronavirus except whenever it actually applies to them rules for thee but not for me if it wasn't for my wife and daughter and the fact that I know some of you all are worth caring about I would be fine with this whole f****** world burning to a crisp except for that would be sad because of all the poor animals that never did anything evil
