It's normal to wish people dead. It should be a fleeting moment, nothing more. If one is actually sitting around and planning it on the other hand, then they need serious help.

I sometimes daydream about shooting my husband first. But someone has to pay the bills so my kid can move on with their life.

guns are far easier to kill with in the same way it's easier to kill yourself with a gun than a knife
No argument, but wasn't the point of my post. WhatCouldHaveBeen32 made this comment below to my post, to which I responded:
I can see the problem in the drawing... It's a word that has 3 letters and ends with the letter N and it's only purpose is to kill; it's the GUN.
The gun is not the problem. The person using the gun for nefarious means is.

The biggest pacifist and altruist could be pushed to murder.

No plans to kill my family though. I've had the odd thought of it in the past. Only seeing them a handful of times over the last 15 years has helped me moved on from the past.

No. Even if I did, death would be a more merciful fate than what I know is in store for them, so that'd be counterproductive on multiple levels.

right lol, as if the problem with wanting to do this is because it's illegal and not because it's stupidly immoral. theres always someone trying to overcomplicate and externalize their fucking issues instead of taking care of them themselves like everyone else. there'd be household annihilations every single minute if everyone was justified in killing others because they were mean to them.
You literally know nothing about me or my family, but okay.

unless your family are unanimously child rapists or beat elders for saturday night fun, grow up lol. people grow up in cults, alongside nazis, being gaslit and tormented... none of which justify family annihilations. personal sob stories as justifications for external violence and murder are the exact pipelines behind pussy ass mass shooters.

Sadly it's not uncommon for victims to become victimizers. I hope you don't become one OP. Don't screw up

Personally, I tried to get away from the most toxic in my family and to cut them out of my life completely. I can't say I've never entertained violent thoughts towards them although fortunately- they're not overwhelming.

For me, it's more a wish I could forget about them forever. Which also sadly doesn't happen- seeing as other family members insist on reminding me of them because now they are a thorn in their side.

Violence/ murder isn't something I personally condone unless it's a heat of the moment thing- to stop them abusing another in that moment say. I could see rage taking over then.

But just practically speaking- say you got your wish. Would it erase all the things they'd done to you? Would it be worth the price either? If you couldn't take yourself out afterwards- you'd go to prison for life I imagine. So- effectively- they would still be screwing up your life.

I also tend to agree with others that- unless they are now a threat to others, I'm not sure what good it would do. And, if they are- can you get them arrested instead?

I suppose I've wondered about the person from my childhood. What impact are they now having on other people? Are they now bullying them instead? Would the world be better without some people in? Without them in? But then- they seemingly have friends and love interests so- maybe it was just me that had issues with. Maybe it was a childhood thing.

I'm sorry you must have experienced something so bad that you are having these thoughts though.
