Anyone believe in the Afterlife / NDEs?

I have listened to dozens of NDE (near death experience) accounts.

I don't believe in the afterlife. Near death experience seems likely to be a function of a severely distressed brain more than anything supernatural

That's a good point. I think it doesn't but we know how it is like to sleep so I think we already experience death every night.

I've been on an NDE spree myself and find it really helps give me some comfort.

I'm kinda torn on afterlife. I feel in my heart there is somewhere the consciousness goes but on the other hand I sometimes feel dead is dead. I'm more spiritual than religious but as I became more sad I just stopped believing in anything.

A paradise for the soul free of pain and materialism and constant working does sound really amazing...so I just choose to hope there's more to this suffering.

Nope, couldn't fathom the idea of continuing after life for an eternity. Accepting concepts of the afterlife means accepting certain ideas like heaven or hell. Which are righteously biased. I think of death as the final sleep, a stop to conscientiousness.

I guess I'm more swayed by scientific arguments such as those in the videos. They do not prove an afterlife but they certainly raise valid questions

No, it's all just the brain going haywire. Might as well start saying dreams are a preview of heaven..or hell, by God. It's just the brain doing brain shit .

I have a huge fascination with OBEs and NDEs. I've experienced a few drug induced OBEs before and it's pretty wild stuff.

I do believe there is something after this life but I prefer not to discuss it in detail openly. People are very opinionated on this sort of subject and it can easily cause conflict.
