Yeah, I read the posts from there regularly. I guess I'm trying to assess the potential reactions from my loved ones after my suicide. A bit morbid, but I guess my intentions are in the right place. I look specifically for what they say the deceased did that brought them closure— say a phrase in the note, or a memento.

I have mix feelings about it. Cause I remember reading some posts where they literally say how alone their loved ones were and I guarantee atleast some of these people didn't care to even check on them. I know I didn't get the full picture of what happened and I know life gets in the way but it pisses me off how they care so fucking much about their loved ones when they're dead but they didn't even care enough to check on them while alive.

Plus I hate how some will say they 'don't understand it' and I get that it's part of the grieving process and that not many people can understand suicide unless they've been suicidal themselves. But still some of the stories I read about their loved ones lives and how much they were in pain either through depression, anxiety, chronic pain, homelessness/poverty, bullying, ptsd, trauma, etc., etc. and it doesn't take a scientist to understand why they chose to kill themselves.

And don't even get me started on how some will even call their loved ones selfish.

I tend to avoid stuff like that, nothing can be gained from it. Each death, ctb or not, and the ensuing grief is individual to that person and l think it's unfair to condemn those grieving for failing to understand, or for being at fault in some way. They are suffering too in their own way, and there's no overall picture that can be gathered from such sites that would reflect my eventual passing. I know some people will be hurt by it and won't heal, l know some people will miss my presence, l know literally nobody will be unsurprised but will still feel guilt that they couldn't, or didn't, do more. It's just how it is.

I hate when they call themselves survivors. It's pretty selfish and an inflated sense of importance. Why are people calling themselves survivors of things that never happened to them?

Just seems like copium for people who are suffering. Ye it sounds harsh to people like us but they need to tell themselves certain things so they don't spiral I guess.

On one side if it was someone I cared about then I wouldn't mind these kinda statements on there, but on the other hand if I hated them and I thought they played an active role in my depression then I would be kinda pissed at the thought they'd feed themselves a lot of this bullshit (although I guess I wouldn't because I would be dead)
