Anyone a bit embarrased?

Other then like 2 people, I dont want anyone to know about my plan. However, I dont live alone and once I go through with it, a lot of people, who I don't want knowing, will know. If I wait like 5-10 years, I can probably do it without anyone knowing but I dont want to wait that long. I don't want a funeral nor do I want people making a big deal of it. I'm just hoping to god I don't make the news.

Almost nobody makes the news, even the public suicides rarely make the news. Unless, you are a public figure or something, I wouldn't worry about that.

Normally, i'd agree with you, i've now lived the life you describe, i've mostly lived alone away from friends and family for the past 8 years and if i delete facebook, many friends perhaps will never know. I think i'd prefer my childhood friends knew I met my end.

You won't make the news if you CTB in your home or probably a hotel room, unless you jump out the window and CBT in public

I used to care what people would think, or how hurt they would be if I ctb. But about a year ago, I quit caring. Ctb won't make me famous, nor will it put me on the news, but I can die knowing I'm finally gone.

Another way to end up in the news, is to ctb in a city or woods near the city, and they will treat it as a homicide until they can determine it was suicide.

You just have to let it go. You'll be dead who cares what they say or think. I know it's a hard concept and I struggle with it too. Just let them do whatever makes them "happy".

When I was depressed back in 2011 I was a bit embarrassed about it, but now I am not. It is *my* life and nothing to do with anyone else.

The factors that tend to make a suicide hit the newspapers are: female instead of male, public instead of private, unusual methods, younger vs. older, confusion with homicide, that sort of thing.
