Any word on how virginia giuffre ctb? So sad regarding the abuse she suffered.

I felt so sad when I read about it on the news. I don't think the news are allowed to report on suicide methods, at least that's the case in Australia.

The news I read said self inflicted gunshot though given the nature of her notoriety I'm not willing to believe the news at face value.

Do you know it wasn't so long ago?That men ,forty five years old and older , used to marry twelve year olds , and it was just the way it was.

Back in the old west girls got married off at eight years old sometimes six years old.

Sorry but, I really hate it when people justify paedophilia and rape. A 45 year old man having sex with a 12 year old is always rape to my mind. They're too young to really understand enough to consent. I've known women who are affected their whole lives by men who think it's ok to do that. It's entirely possible the whole business here eventually lead to a suicide.

Plenty of things used to be permissable or, not permissable only a short time ago. Even suicide was illegal before 1961 in the UK. Laws and rules change as we understand and recognise the negative impact certain things have on people.

I still doubt a 12 year old would be psychologically unharmed having sex with a 45 year old. But- even if you're right- even if a culture exists were that doesn't damage children, the majority of us living in this culture would be damaged by that.

We may try to respect other cultures. Doesn't mean we live by their laws. You don't grow up in one culture and then mix and match which laws suite you. Molestation and rape in some countries is still punished by castration. Should parents demand that here or, wherever they're from? Why not? It's natural to want to protect your children, plus other children if they suffer from paedophillic desire and tend to act on it.

Can't help feeling that if it wasn't a genuine self inflicted act the time it would have been done would have been some years ago before she had her allegations so publicly aired, rather than after her statements went worldwide and Prince Andrew paid millions of pounds to her.
May she have found peace now whatever the circumstances.

Not sure really. I understand people's suspicions. Still, she was also in the midst of a difficult divorce plus, it seems as if she was exhibiting troubling signs of distress on social media. Wasn't there the whole business of the bus crash with her claiming she had days to live? Maybe she was even thinking about suicide then.

Regardless, it's really sad. But, like you say, at least she's at peace now.
