sometimes i just write things as if the canon love interest didn't exist or still exists but not romantic with them, but for mamma mia since the plot kind of goes around it a lot it might be harder. who is the one that is yours? the style looks like i seen before but i dont know the character

ooh thats cool, i love self inserts. and i also love making up more backstory for characters that dont have much in their canon (or even ones who do).

Also I totally understand that! I don't mind casual fans but I'm... let's just say... not happy about doubles either. Thankfully my F/O is fairly obscure, so I don't think I've actually seen any doubles so far

I've considered it recently, though I don't think I'd be as serious about it as every selfshipper. If I did get into it, I would self-ship with fictional characters my late girlfriend kinned (Ashley Graves from TCOAAL, and Tarantulas from Transformers). However my feelings towards my late girlfriend are obviously much, much stronger lol. Can't say I don't have massive raging crushes towards those characters because of her though.

It's okay, Katawa Shoujo is like ancient at this point haha. Definitely a visual type, plus I've always liked the fantasy of saving or helping someone, like with Rin, or meeting someone who encourages my self destructive behavior, like Nakamura.

I don't necessarily call myself a self-shipper, but I do read a lot of x reader fanfiction lol. I probably read an unhealthy amount of COD stuff for someone whose never played (fuck my laptop's habit of overheating). Pretty into MacCready from fallout 4 rn, I just love him so much.

Oh that's interesting, I don't think I've ever met anyone who kinda crushes on characters because their partner kins/kinned them. Also help TCOAAL is still in my steam library unplayed

I don't really explicitly label myself as a yume but... Medic from TF2 makes me feel some sorta way. Honestly, I imagine him as a woman 90% of the time. I have a ridiculous amount of photos saved of fem!Medic. I heart old women!! I heart old women who want to perform surgery on you and hold your heart in her hands!!

Oh my god I never even considered it before but I love the idea of Fem!Medic??? I wish there were more unhinged old women characters in media. Also it's funny that you mention TF2 bc I once had a crush on Pyro

But yeah, I do the same with the character I selfship with. If I had the choice to live a healthy/happy life I'd of course wanna be with my irl partner instead... like, that's a no brainer for me - but the thought of maybe just ending up with my f/o after death makes the thought of it all ending more bearable. Doesn't matter to me that it's silly, it just makes me feel better.
