I'm curious if anyone has any insight on using Propranolol to CTB? I've seen a few threads, not much info in them, though. Hoping someone has more clarity and answers. TIA <3

@emgrl

There are quite a few medical journal articles and other published cases on this. Two good links about Propranolol overdoses can be found below. Link #1 has good information on lethal dosing and link #2 has quite a bit of information on how an emergency department would administer treatment if you were interrupted.

While betablockers have a good potential to be lethal when dosing correctly, they are fairly easy to reverse in a basic emergency room setting.

Thanks, now I'm trying to figure out how much is needed.

I'm also curious. A user on here was going to take 15grams which is like 500 pills im not sure if they already took them or not, but that sounds insane. I don't know if I could handle it

That's what actually got me thinking… she signed off to take them yesterday, and never returned. Also not sure if she had slow or fast acting pills. I'm researching it now, it's not clear how much is needed to be fatal, though.

Ahh yeah hope she found peace if so, before I ever knew about ss or anything overdose was my number one option before I knew that it wasn't that effective. Just always seemed peaceful if you had the right pills to do it.

Yes, I think growing up hearing about old actors/actresses, musicians, and artists that all used pills and passed away, was only a reality during those times. Of course they weren't safe, it makes complete sense that they are discontinued for those reasons. I knew I should have grown up in the 50s/60s!

Drugs like metoprolol, propranolol, digoxin, chloroquine are deadly, but not a peaceful method without a strong sedative. They cross the blood brain barrier and also depress the CNS. They can cause convulsions. Death can take a long time.
