Long story short I am a fairly low weight anorexic (bmi 14) with a sleeping heart rate of about 40bpm. I also have a stash of propranolol which is a beta blocker used to slow the heart, prescribed to me for anxiety but I don't tend to take it.
I know that an overdose has a decent rate of failure to begin with, when compared with other methods, especially since I would not be taking the standard drugs, but given my current circumstances does this plan seem like it has a chance of success?

While your plan has the potential for success, NO plan is guaranteed success. It really is amazing how much trauma and stress the human body can endure.

Keep in mind that propranolol also comes as an extended release version which will regulate the rate at which its absorbed. If that's what you have, you might want to consider crushing the tablets into powered form to speed up the absorption process.

If you don't mind me asking, do you have atrial fibrillation, or HBP? Its extremely rare for propranolol to be prescribed off label for anxiety. Nowadays that's pretty much unheard of.

I just checked my boxes and I don't think it is the extended release version but I am going to double check somehow.

Oh really? Nope, and I didn't know that. I was prescribed it as my first PRN, even before diazepam.

Hi. I wanted to PM you but you don't have enough posts. I am in the same boat as you, though my BMI is a bit higher, while still in mid teens. I also have a resting heartrate in the 40s and my BP is often below 90/60. My logic is following yours as I am considering the same.
