Not that it matters as we are all the same but it came to mind.... Do you think there are any "celebrities" on this forum, as registered users ?

Anyone ever been on television or are known enough in your community so that your ctb would get on the news? Just wondering..

I'm sure some of us are at least mildly famous, maybe not internationally, but at least known in our countries or even internet famous, if that even counts.

the beauty of it is that you'll never know who you are really talking to, but you know the reason why we are here.

If anything, maybe they visit the site. I just can't imagine any celebrity being a member and somehow people find out who they are. It could draw public attention to them and their platform AND this site depending on who they are. So god, I hope not but that would be cool.

A close friend of mine is a punk musician with several albums out, tours across multiple countries and a reasonably large fanbase etc. Not 'super-famous' but famous enough. I know that he was suicidal after a nasty article appeared about him written by some particularly venomous journalists (he had an affair, we all make mistakes - but the disgusting media leeches just couldn't resist could they)... So I know that he's visited this site, at some point last year perhaps, and looked through the mega-thread on hanging (we spoke about it before I registered - it was how I found this site later on).

But if he's actually registered here then I have no idea who he is, and I wouldn't dare want to ask him in person - I doubt he would still be active if he was. That's the price of anonymity though, any one of us could be famous or not famous.

Here's an interesting ethical question. If you were stuck on whether or not to commit suicide, and a member on here was famous (and you were their biggest fan) - if they asked you to commit suicide, would you feel more pressure to do it?

I hate that they took away the laugh emoji! I mean, c'mon, there are so many times where its use is warranted. And it seems strange, in a suicidal forum, if we don't laugh about something then we usually gotta cry about it, so why not laugh sometimes even if it's not actually out of joy.
... I can't recall the reason it was removed, maybe people were bullying and laughing at serious topics? Anyone know?

Being a celebrity is hard..I can't fathom why anyone would want that...Then again, for some they may think it's an escape. My favorite artist suggesting I CTB would be against the rules but also, it wouldn't sway me anymore than I can sway myself.

You guys caught me! I'm Mike & Trump.. We take turns signing in and out of this username. I'm not famous but I'm partlt here because of my romantic love for a celebrity. going sour.. So, before I CTB, I need to wipe everything clean bc there are texts & etc.. They don't deserve to be dragged into my CTB'ing but that's as far as it goes..
