Hi, I'm thinking of jumping off a bridge into the river. I think it would kill me by a) impact of water b) currents and/or c) getting pummelled on pillars of bridge. All of which sound painful.

If I took Ketamine before jumping, would that stop it being painful? Would snorting Ketamine be sufficient, or do I need to learn to inject it?

Height is the most important factor, especially if the jump is into water

Height of jump would be an important factor to consider, as would the stillness of the water. Don't forget that these two would also interact.

Swiftness and strength of current is also important to consider. I imagine that unless you're completely unconscious your survival instinct will kick in once you hit the cold water.

Sounds like it could work, but there are several factors which would be likely to work against you.

With regards to the ketamine - I'm sure you know how fast acting it is and more importantly how short the half life is. I'd imagine you'll become conscious enough to struggle with your SI. I've never injected ketamine, but intramuscular injections look fairly manageable.

The question is...will Ketamine stop the pain? Even if snorted? Or injected??

My short answer is that i don't think it will, particularly if snorted. I think the half-life is too short.

I've never injected so can't offer any advice.
