Understand that i know a quite a few of us here drink and when we ctb alcohol can help lower the anxiety that builds up before the attempt. So i want to discuss it with y'all the do's and dinners don'ts.

1. Do not drink cheap liquor/alcohol - impurities will make everything bad about drinking even worse
2. Eat first - you will be able to control yourself easier and won't get drunk as fast
3. Do not talk to anyone when you are drunk - you greatly risk spilling the beans about you ctb'ing

What about with the SN method? Everything I've read says you have to fast? I'm an alcoholic, and I know I'll probably want a final drink before ctb.

Might want to choose a different method if you wanna drink first.

I agree with everything you've said here, I just want to point out that correlation is not necessarily causation. In this case, people aren't always suicidal because they're alcoholics, they are typically depressed, anxious people who self-soothe with alcohol and would probably be suicidal anyway.

Then again, alcohol is a depressant, and excessive drinking clouds your thinking. The root cause and subsequent effects get hazy. Maybe it's more the chicken and the egg dilemma?

Damn it, I think I've created an infinite regress. Someone fix me a drink while I try to remember the premise of my theory.
