This fear pop up in my head of, as I lose consciousness, some dream or vision entraps my qualitative mind for a moment and that nightmare proves to be a terrible experience. For example, I try to ground myself from time to time so I wont remember my mother abusing me. What if the moments before I die will be jus filled with visions of her doing her worst against me? I hate this idea. Worse still, what if there's a time dilation effect that makes the experience feel really long somehow?

Are there any studies or something of the sort that present evidence against tis disconcerting fear I have? I imagine that would help me cope with the idea of dying. It is, indeed, a real shame I don't have access to firearms so I could end it before my brain were able to formulate a single mental state (assuming that's how it works, anyway).

Have you looked into NDE's? I am assuming that's what you mean by End-of-Life Dreams of Visions... most of them seem very positive. Nderf.org is a collection of Near Death Experiences submitted by real people if you want to see want people see while they were dead/dying
