Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I haven't had insurance for over 2 months now because my family kicked me off of theirs with no warning because they were upset that I had control over my medical appointments, I've been waiting aimlessly to be approved but I'm very new to this process and don't know what I'm doing or if I'm even doing it right. It's affecting me greatly.

I struggle greatly with my mental health and neurodivergence and stimulants were the only thing that helped. Are there any telehealth clinics or just any in general that will accept me without insurance or ask me for anything extra like a wellness visit? I also live in California if that helps. I know major pharmacies won't accept them but I have a Costco membership so I'm fine going to theirs.

I know there's always Zocdoc. Heard good things about it, though I've never tried it myself.

Make sure to ask for a sliding scale or reduced fees based on your income.

Also, when it comes to buying meds, GoodRx can help.

I think you can also ask pharmacies for discounts too.

And whatever medicine you get, I know some have programs for people struggling to pay the regular prices on their websites, typically for medicines that are generic-only like Qelbree, and I think they subsidize the cost for a period of time.

Those are just things I know of, there's probably a lot more out there.

Oh, also, have you thought about applying to California Medicaid? Is that what you're waiting to be approved, or something else? That might help you get in with IRL clinics and psych places near you.

That's what I applied for and had previously but I'm still waiting. My caseworker never answers her phone and i don't think she's checked my portal at all. It's been 45+ days.

That sounds really annoying. Maybe she's backed up??? Yk, being a caseworker and all. I've never been in this situation so I'm a bit at a loss for words.

I looked online it says that you can call your local county office for direct assistance with Medicaid stuff.

Is it like this caseworker is "helping" by applying for you, or she's giving you resources as to how to do that for yourself?

Is it possible for you to get assigned a new caseworker? I would do that. Because she sounds a bit negligent. Being MIA for over a month is ridiculous.

Since I'm not really sure what you can do specifically, I'd try making a throwaway account on Reddit and making a post on like a medicaid subreddit or a post about it on the subreddit for your state. They can definitely help!!! 🧔

I was approved today this morning, which is weird bc it's a holiday lol. It was 3 days past the 45 day legal limit. I'm just waiting to enroll myself into a plan now. I would aggressively spam the request interview button on benefits cal so maybe that helped.

I also avoid going on reddit because I find most people there to be really pretentious and unhelpful, most people also kinda ignore posts.
