Why do people say "ctb" instead of "kill myself" or "commit suicide" or "end my life" or literally any other kind of euphemism. It's a website called "Sanctioned Suicide", why are we making acronyms like it's TikTok shadow bans? I get it's a touchy subject but I mean, if you've reached the point that you're on this website then surely you're at a stage that you can say "suicide". "Catch the bus" is so cryptic and I don't get why people just use the word "suicide" like, that's the official term for what you want to do.

i don't like it either. i can only imagine it's helpful to feel less guilty when writing about it or maybe to avoid tripping some sort of isp monitor? not sure if that's even a thing.
personally, i don't want any sort of obscuring of my feelings or agency toward it. making informed decisions is important to me. i'm not a fan of euphemism in general

I'm new so I don't have search. I'm also older and very ill, just typing is painful. I see this is old too. But if this means their is a person A to get N from still I'm trying to confirm that it's not nitrogen and if it can be obtained it is enough to take and be done? Like it isn't a huge amount or anything has to be done to it,just take it? I'm trying to find something simple because I can't physically do tanks or SN if I need so many other meds too. I need to know if there is a reliable source of N and if it a pill and I only need 1 or a few, but manageable? What dose do I need? How many different dosages does it come in? Can someone DM me or do I have to wait to wait until I post enough first? Thanks

This is for new users on here.

N stands for Nembutal. It's used in physician assisted suicide and to euthanize animals. You can find more information about it in the peaceful pill handbook.

We aren't allowed to give personal information on people who have resources, so you'll have to also look at the peaceful pill handbook. We tend to use initials only, A, B, N.

PPH or PePH or any variation is peaceful pill handbook.

SN stands for sodium nitrite. It's an inorganic salt. There's also more information in the PPH.

Ctb means catch the bus or to kill yourself.

If you want to find more resources, there is a resources pinned in the sanctioned suicide forum. You can also search megathreads. There are megathreads on getting N from A, one on SN, one on hanging, and others.

Feel free to add any that I missed.
