Hello all,

I haven't been on the site in ages due to many other issues in my life, but am hoping to be able to be here more and participate more from now on.

Basically this post is about a drug (horse tranquilizer) I saw mentioned on a crime show I watch. A woman killed a man using this veterinary drug and the description of this man's death actually seemed rather peaceful to me, and also the show stated the woman purchased this drug in powder form on Ebay so I thought that was good info to have and would be a convenient way for me to get it as I do a lot of Ebay buying. Unfortunately, I checked Ebay for this drug out of curiosity after watching the show and there is only one seller offering it right now, in liquid form and only two bottles and, at this point -- without yet having done more extensive into the drug -- I have no idea how much a human would need to ctb. I did a quick search on this site for acepromazine but haven't yet gone through all the postings but plan to do that today. A cursory skimming through the posts appeared that there wasnt a lot of in-depth discussion about this drug as a means to ctb so I just thought I'd start a new thread about it in case anyone out there has any pertinent info or experience they'd like to share in case this drug is a total waste of time to even get my hopes up about, and I'd rather learn that quicker/sooner than later. :)

I know SN method is very popular but I have extensive and multiple GI issues and I am very very concerned that SN would not be a good option for me given those GI problems. And I thought maybe acepromazine might be easier for me to use as an alternative.

Thank you to anyone who read my post and thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to offer insight or information regarding this drug as a possible method. I appreciate your time.

It is related to older antipsychotics like chlorpromazine. No clue what show you watched or how accurate the description of death was. It has a very high therapeutic index, and isn't something that would be very useful.

I suspect she used a combination product that contains acepromazine or dosed him and killed him while asleep. There is very little data regarding toxicology in humans, and this case of a woman surviving 1g is about the best you will find.

Please don't confuse sedation with what is being asked. Flunitrazepam, like all benzos, has a very high therapeutic index...it isn't used in the US, so no clue why you are giving rhohypnol to animals

No clue in humans, but you are correct regarding acepromazine in animals. It can be sedating or can have a paradoxical reaction that may include agitation or aggression.

You know my post was a joke, right? Not even one at your expense, just on the way @Aap's choice of phrasing came out :))

OK. For what it's worth, I've seen @Aap in action quite a bit around the forum, and find him genuinely decent to people, as well as highly knowledgeable. I personally didn't interpret any malice in his questions/comments to you. And I'm sure he'd be the first to admit that many medications have off-label applications in both the medical and veterinary fields, so there are likely uses he may not know about about as someone (from my understanding) on the chemistry side of things.

I felt demeaned..it is possible that other people have experiences with something because of life...i have extensive experience with livestock for medical surgical issues..so the comment about not seeing any reason for livestock use is not correct...both are used
All under the instructions of a veterinarian but on my own
