Being a thinker can be a great curse, he probably lost it at some point, I don't know, hope he didn't suffer.

I did some research on a while back. He was super interesting and front runner on simulation theory, Aubrey De Grey and Elon Musk even commented on his blog which he took as confirmation of his theories. I don't fully understand his motive. Maybe he was a little autistic and felt trapped by his own mind.

On reddit he said he tried passing out on alcohol and falling into water but it didn't work and he wouldn't do it again. He tried recovery methods people recommend like working out and psychedelics but I guess he really wanted out. He was in the water too long to do a valid tox screen but I assume he went with his alcohol+drowning method again.

Montano believed that physicalism, the philosophical doctrine that all is matter, implies immortality. I agree.
I went on another tangent of his post history because I find him so interesting. While he made vids about the impossibility of dying he also posted in antinaltiist about the wanting non-existence and a complete end to a suffering and going so far as to say his mom was evil for having him knowing that life entails suffering. He also had some type of body issue or dysmorphia and said stuff about wanting an ideal body in another realm and was asexual. Despite being an anitnatalist he also posted in the longevity forum stuff about cryonics. He seemed to feel imprisoned by an immortality that still entailed suffering under terms he had little control over to the point he craved non-existence. Truly a paradox, it must have been very painful for him to be alive and think that way. I hope he found peace.

He decided to drown himself, and achieved it at second attempt. Isn't drowning the most excruciating way
