hello everyone! i found this site very recently (amongst all the negative press, lmao) and i wanted to tell yall thank you. i didn't know how much i needed a place like this until i read all of your posts and comments. i was reading for hours. i have borderline and i struggle intensely with it. including last night. i was in crisis mode and reading your posts and response helped keep me from sh-ing. and i'm glad to have found yall. wanted to say thank you all for being here and helping me even tho yall dont know me yet lol! i feel less alone.

Lots of outsiders think that this forum encourages suicide, but it's not like that. I've seen lots of threads were someone says "My life has gotten better and I'm no longer suicidal so I'm leaving this site!" and lots of people are really happy for them. We just want the suffering to end. If your life gets better and you no longer need this site, that's great. But if your life won't get better no matter what and you decide to go the other way, that's okay too. We are pro-choice and anti-suffering. In an ideal world there'd be no need for sites like this and no one would want to ctb, but that's not possible on this planet, that's why we need this site.
