Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I don't want to participate in method talk. But one reason SN is my favorite method for me personal that it is quite cheap. I once bought SN and the price was quite low. I considered it astounding I was able to kill myself with such an amount of money. It was close to nothing. I spend more money on food per day. I found this sort of funny and ironic and I wasn't really sure why. I said to myself so this is how much a peaceful death will cost me. There is a saying in my native language: The only thing that is for free, is death. (Though death costs life). I didn't now that this in brackets can be added.

I think one reason why I was so surprised. For a long time assisted suicide was my favorite suicide method. I am pretty disillusioned about it. There are so many reasons for that. One reason it is extremely expensive. You need an assessment and not many psychiatrist are willed to do such an assessment. It costs several thousand Euros and when it is negative you get nothing in exchange. Personally, I consider this undignifying. I am a complex case. Someone with psychoses in the past. German doctors went to prison for allowing people with psychoses to get assisted suicide. I think I would not be able to cope with getting rejected wasting so much money. Poverty is one reason for my suicidiality. I find it very cynical there is a two class society even when it comes to death and suicide.

I had this fairytale idea to die at my home with my friends holding my hands, eating chocolate after or before N. For me this will always remain a fairytale. I never want to spend so much money on such a gamble. There were people on here who wanted to travel to South America to get N. I also find this a little bit too luck depending. Maybe people who want an adventure and who have a lot of money. But getting N under table can lead to imprisonment. I would not want to end in a prison in South America. There are many scammers online. Very cynical people I think. My dad threatened me to call the police on me if I want to receive asssited suicide and when I try to get it. I found this pretty disgusting.

Personally, I could not care less whether my death in itself was cheap or expensive. I even tend to think I would want a cheap death. I am sort of stingy. And for me I hate the idea of the point of no return. And if you spent thousands of Euros in order to receive death you might feel a higher pressure to go through with it. And I don't want even more pressure in my life. I already feel often with my back against the wall.

I give some example of an expensive death You have a night with your friends in Las Vegas, you gamble a lot live hedonistic then you go to an escort and die while you are having sex from an heartattack. Ironically this isn't the most expensive death. And this isn't how many expensive deaths look like. In my opinion the most common expensive death happens in hospitals where the death of old people is postponed as long as possible to get the most money out of these patients. You notice the corporate bias when asking chatGPT for feedback quite early. I am quite sure it will deny something like that would happen. And call it a conspiracy theory. The critique of capitalism is often very superficial and too often in favor of the current system when asking chatbots such questions. Modern technology is used for longevity and billioniares dream of becoming immortal. I certainly don't think an early death was something good. But modern medicine doesn't have a good relation to life and death. I think life quality should have a higher priority. But honestly this doesn't bring the most money. I think my grandma was ready to die. I assume for religious reasons she didn't want to receive assisted suicide. But jokingly she told the doctors they should finally kill her if needed with an axe. I think she was in extreme pain. She took so many pills. And the last months really were horrfic. Is this really the goal of modern medicine? Where most people would agree it would have been better for her if life spared her the last excruciating months.

I am not sure whether a cheap death means a natural death per se. In general I would say a happy long and fulfilled life is the best life one can have. I think I will stop it here. One could elaborate more on transhumanism, the audacity of humans to play God, techology as utitlity to avoid anything negative in life or the attempt to fade out the inevitable. I don't reject the idea of pain pills of course not. But I read so many articles that billionaires are now into a perverted form of effective altruism. wanting to cut the consciousness of people (their software) from their hardware (body). And Slavoj ZIzek talks about this frequently. Musk and his company Neurallink. They want to give cooperations access to our braind and direct information of what you are thinking. I think Zizek arguments this is the moment humans lose humanity. Maybe that's a too short/distorted summary but I guess he will never read my threads. It is a wet dream of billionaires being able to read the minds of the peasants and being able to monitor/control them. (My words). There is probably good usage for disabled people who cannot speak, or who only can communicate through blinking. The research is still pretty scary. And I think once the code of the mind is cracked there will be not enough ethical guardrails to prevent this technology from getting abused.
