They say now, half of humanity may be dead by 2050 because of the climate warming.

I don't understand why we're still doing this. Capitalism and stuff. I still need to spend most waking hours, most days of my life, at a job, when we may all be dead in less than 25 years.

Plastic outweighs the entire biomass of the earth now. Every vital ecosystem is on track to become extinct the way things are going, we are experiencing a mass extinction event.

I feel like i'm being punished for somebody else's mistakes. I had nothing to do with this and i'm still baking in 90 degree weather in the dead of winter. I never signed the "social contract", none of us did. We are just expected, or moreso coerced, into following rules and social conventions by virtue of being born in the wrong place. Its all so stupid. You either spend the last years of our collective lives as slaves following some rules set for us hundreds of years ago or starve— or go to prison and then starve. It doesn't matter what you do or where you go the mistakes of others will catch up with you. if you were living 100 miles from any road deep in the woods climate, drought, still gonna kill ya.

I guess all that really mattered to me was autonomy. I don't really want to die. I just want to live in an unattainable way. Like an animal, you know. Uninhibited. Wandering the wilderness, though even on public lands that not allowed, animal or man. If a person does it its squatting nevermind that it supposedly belongs to all of us. If you're an animal you get shot for sport. This ain't a country for wild animal, or wild men either.

I've been thinking lately about just picking a direction to walk in and just keep on going. Take my supplies for backpacking maybe and head Northwest along a less busy road. Even though i'd be hungry and hot and my feet would surely be sore and then blister I imagine i'd prefer it to sitting at a job until it becomes too hot outside to go to one.

I don't know anymore. I feel like one of those zoo animals caught from the wild and kept in a tiny enclosure pacing the same pattern every day and pulling its fur out.

I really want to live. and thats the problem. Because i suffer every day for the actions of foolish people for the last hundred years and theres not one thing I can do about it. Can't go into the woods and run and howl no more, in fact where I live it would take three or more days walking to reach anything isn't just concrete.

I don't know what the point of this was. Just had to tell it to someone or something because nobody listens to me. Everyone thinks i'm ridiculous i guess. Maybe they're right

Very well said!!
Humans are bloody selfish creatures.
No creature in the history of the universe harmed the planet like this.
It's like cutting the same branch you are sitting on.
People think in the short term.
If I can feed myself with one loaf of bread, that should be enough for me. Keeping future in my mind, I can keep a few more. But hoarding on several and not let another hungry fellow eat even one is so cruel.
Earth has its resources available to all. But humans have converted it in the form of wealth and divided it into borders and acquired ownership of lands.
They know that environment is deteriorating, still they have come up with AI servers that need fresh water to cool them. No one's stopping the use of AI servers.
Humanity is just the worst thing to happen on the planet.
It's said that Earth has enough to feed every creature but not enough to feed greed of humans

I think this is 100% a valid idea and I empower you to do this ♥. The world is more than concrete; no matter how much people try to impose their view of reality through the graven images of urbanity or architecture. Sometimes this is something we need to not just know but feel as well; and venturing out like this can seriously make a human body feel that 💖.

in fact where I live it would take three or more days walking to reach anything isn't just concrete.
I understand it's not a walk in the park for you <3. Perhaps you could try taking public transport to the farthest edge of town it goes; and maybe trying to pack days worth of food & supplies to go there too ♥.

There's also lots of survival techniques on YouTube and other places too—I'm sure one could engage with these to make time in the wild easier, too 🫂.

I don't know anymore. I feel like one of those zoo animals caught from the wild and kept in a tiny enclosure pacing the same pattern every day and pulling its fur out.
You're not crazy for feeling this <3. Society is not structured enough around human needs; far too often is the human themself expected to confirm to society's own ways, when in reality society should exist to serve humans, not the other way around. The human and their true needs must be absolute priority 💖.

Your feelings on "being enclosed" and repeated invocation of the word "wild" remind me of this:

Humanity is a disease
it is rather that a powerful subset of humanity is afflicted with specific diseases that lead them to abuse power to enact disease-like effects on fellow humans and natural resources

to say humanity itself is the disease is to erase the distinction between abusers and affected. the issue is what humanity does and chooses to do.
