12 hours to go

New Year's Eve is upon us. I am getting ready to take a drive to the woods where I have decided to go, and get set up and ready. The day is dreary, just like my life.

I am going with the CO method, and if it fails, I have my rope on standby. Regardless the outcome of either method, if I succeed at ctb, then I'm good. If it fails on both, I will not come out of the woods. One way or another, I will succeed, even if I have to go the VSED method. Hell, at this point, I don't care if I'm mauled to death and eaten by a bear, or ants.

I will check in a few more times today. At 11pm tonight, my cellphone gets tossed into a fire, and i get the CO and tent method started. Then the countdown to midnight continues. With any luck, I won't wake up.

Think I found an ok spot. It's a good ways away from the road, and out of sight. Tried to upload pics of woods, but it's taking forever because of the signal, but I think I'm safe from being found.

It feels kind of eerie, with it being cloudy and a light fog, almost like death is welcoming me, but I love it.

I can't describe my feelings, happy, sad, depressed, anxiety.... Seems like all of them are crashing into each other. The feeling of emptiness and darkness surrounds me here.

Fuck me... You know how they say your life flashes before your eyes right before you die? I haven't started the method yet, but there's so much shit going through my mind about my past. I've thought about times when I was about 5 years old, playing with my cars in the dirt, happy and content, to my teenage years that started my downward slope, and onto my adult years battling depression.

And I wonder, how did I go from being that little happy, content 5 year old, to being a miserable, depressed, 48 year old fuck up? Life has never been on my side. Whenever things would start looking up, life again, snatches it from my grasp, as it did in 2014 when life killed the one person I loved the most, that was the final straw. Even since then, I had always been on the highway to hell.

It's been a quiet few hours since I've been here. No sounds of people or vehicles, just an animal making it's way past me. If what I am experiencing now is peace, I hope it follows me to the other side.
