It seems like it's been this way since that Lindsey pearlman article was posted. I don't know if there's any correlation but I wonder what's bringing so many people in. I've been here for around 8 months and the most that I've seen it go up to was around 800 and that only happened for a couple of days and I think it may have been after an article was posted.

Can say about myself I was just fooling on web as usually my ideations would come and go until one day I snapped and felt angry at the world and found the archive of some pro choice one of one the oldest Yahoo groups and then there new google.io mailing list then I just saw SS there and searched it up now I am here I never knew something like this existed but not to forget I am feeling better now because of this as it feels that I didn't just have to go impulsively and punish myself when I can choose how to do it here.

I was unaware of Lindsay Pearlman. I just googled and found the August article. But the popular DM article does not reference this site only the method.

Weirdly I tried to look at archives to compare the numbers (users vs guests viewing) and discovered we are excluded by Wayback. Anyone else aware of that? Was that an editorial choice by admins. Do you know/aware @RainAndSadness ?

Doesn't mention the forum but kind of strange how all these new viewers popped up out of nowhere. Not hard to Google "How to kill yourself with Sodium Nitrite" I'm sure a link from SS would eventually pop up maybe.
I think it is suicide awareness week or whatever. Maybe that does has some to do with it.

It's probably external link. I used to have a website and the views would spike in a similar way as soon as somebody with tons of followers shared it. So I think somebody or some news website talked about sanctioned suicide and posted a link to it

I was first googling things to ingest, such as yew and pong pong seeds. SN came up as a way to poison yourself, and so I restricted the search to SN only. SS was one of the first links on DDG.

I believe it is painful. I didn't get far into research before I found SN, so I abandoned that real quick.

It's probably just suicidal people looking for ways to leave this world. People don't have to make an account to browse the method resources sections. People must have heard about SN from news articles which lead them to doing research and somehow finding this site. It does sound as though SN is becoming more well known.

Yes, maybe some have seen the articles where this site is mentioned, I didn't though. I stumbled upon it, and am so grateful.
