How I HATE when people tell someone to not kill themself because they're too beautiful/handsome, smart, funny or anything
What the fuck are you implying? Are you really telling the truth or just trying to aplacate the situation? So if someone is dumb and ugly, they are allowed to kill themself?

hard agree. i get told i'm young, pretty, funny, whatever, but i can't even make friends because i don't get along with anyone that lives here. sometimes i think that they're just saying that because they assume that i'm just in some youngster funk. i've wanted to kill myself for years. my life is boring and i hate living here.

It's generally some sort of projection. If they say that without any prompt, then chances are they mean it and actually like that about you. People don't really say those things out of the blue to someone who mentions suicide without meaning it. In a way, society assigns some value to these positive attributes. If you don't have anything notable, you might simply get a vague and catch-all "you matter".

The main part of it is really the thought of wasting something they perceive to be good, which is why younger people who commit suicide are often mourned for their potential.

and its always superficial shit they say. too pretty, too young, too smart. all of that can change in a moment and all of that will change eventually in your life. so when I get older its okay to kill myself? but when you reach that stage and outgrow one of these traits they move on with shit like you have so much to live for and other meaningless bs. like okay, who cares. I have one thing to die for, and thats peace. the ultimate escape. no superficial shit that wont matter down the line compares to that

agreed, there's no particular quality a person should have for their life to matter. But I think that socially, if someone tells you they want to ctb, you are meant to say something positive about them to encourage them not to. Though, if I told someone this and they said I was too pretty to do that, I'd lose it.

I actually agree, I'm quite pragmatical and sneaky myself, I don't think I was clear on my post but what triggers me is when I SEE those things being said out there, not necessarily for me. It's silly but it triggers me more than I would like to admit
