You will never do more than you have already done; you will never go beyond where you are; you will never have more than you had. You will be in this prison without bars, on an existential level, powerless to change. No matter what your efforts are, they do not solve your problems. There is no other alternative than to fight or succumb.

I think this highly depends on the person and what they are going through. Some people can change and get to a better position where they are now but it is probably going to rely on a lot of luck. If people are wanting to try to recover, they might be able to but its not guaranteed even with effort put into it so ultimately its a person's choice on whether they want to risk continuing life or to try to ctb.

On an existential level- perhaps not although again, maybe spiritual people would disagree.

Not sure whether this is meant as a more positive statement- 'You don't need to be anymore than you already are, you already have everything you need' type of thing. It doesn't sound it though! It sounds more like- you're unchangeable and stuck where you are.

That depends on what it is you really want in life though. And, it's likely that that needs working out first. Some things are achievable- a change in job, a larger social circle, a relationship. None are guaranteed though- obviously. We are all bound by some limitations and, it's hard and risky work trying to get the things we want.

There again, it also seems reasonable to me to realise that we might actually hate certain things about life and ourselves that are more or less unchangeable. In which case, I agree- it's all a pile of shit that likely won't change enough to feel worth the effort.
