i think if you have the typical "tough guy" facial features, that's exactly who you become.
because people see you all your life, and if you look tough, people will notice, and they are less likely to mess with you.
same thing the other way around...
someone born nerdy looking, that person is much more likely to be messed with.
and then your personality just kinda developes from that, you know?
there's a few nerdy looking guys who are actually tough.
and a few rough looking guys who have nerdy personalities, but generally i think it's very true.
just a thought.
i myself am a middle thing... not rough looking, not nerdy either.
but i feel bad for those extremely nerdy looking ones. it's truly like a curse
