So some of my mutuals here know about my current situation with school. For those who doesn't know, basically I'm taking a gap year but I was elected to be a club officer for before the school year 2025-2026 started. I talked to my club moderator and I was welcomed to join events and all that.
Me and another officer that work together with asked me about my situation and probably told it to his classmate which is the current chairman of the club, and there I feel so shitty receiving a message from my co-officer about this:
"[my name], we talked with the chair regarding your case, and it appears that we don't want to disturb the club tasks since you're not yet enrolled in the department. It seems kinda unfair to you that we're making you work under our club even though you're not yet enrolled, like it's giving forced labor HAHAHAHAHA so we suggest, and especially also for me as a [position in the club], to focus first on whatever adventure you are in right now, and when you enroll next sem or next summer, surely you'll once again be a [position in the club] (I'm sure of that because we won't have 3rd years by then HAHAHAHAHH)"
First of all, I don't feel forced AT ALL and secondly I literally had to ask why they couldn't approach me directly but instead make my co-officer send the message to me. It hurts a lot because I told them how passionate I am and how much I wanted to work because it's the only thing that's giving me some purpose during these times. But they've already said that they already made the decision. It's so unprofessional for them to just throw me out this way.
