Would you want to be a ghost, or would you rather move on to the great beyond? Sometimes I think about being a ghost after death and haunting people who were mean to me.

i dont see the difference. either way im alive. i guess being incorporeal could save me from the troubles of the latter, but if i cant eradicate harm from my overall experience im just going to feel the same.

i wouldnt want to be a ghost. that seems super boring. my preferred afterlife is none at all, just oblivion. i believe in reincarnation though

I would be so bored. Then of course there's no end. Unless the sun going supernova destroys ghosts too, but that's gonna take a couple billion more years.

Or be a ghost would be nice if I could chose when I'm done being a ghost. Would hate to be stuck aware and unable to do anything forever.

Same, I'd love to be reincarnated as an animal as well. I'd love to be a pet. It would be so nice to be taken care of. I wish I could be a cat in my next life. I'd hate to have to be a human again.

Maybe for a while but- not for eternity. I don't want to do anything for eternity.

But- for me- it's not so much about scaring people. Although- maybe I'd help out those people on those naff ghost hunting shows. It would be more about being able to explore for me. So long as we aren't tethered to an area. I'd love to explore the ocean, knowing I couldn't drown or be eaten.

I'd probably be quite an antisocial ghost though. I'd probably avoid living people as much as I do now.

Ghosts scare me in video games, especially in Japanese ones. I know it is irrational but can't help it lol.

I wonder how would it feel to become what I fear. I would probably enjoy jumpscaring people.

In the aftermath of one of my CBT attempts I honestly thought I had become a ghost. That attempt was with OTC sleeping pills which just induced toxic shock. (I had no idea what I was doing and didn't realize they wouldn't do the trick.) This felt like a very intense and dark acid trip. I wound up wandering the streets at night with the vague desire to go to a house I used to live in. As I wandered the streets and came upon people I hid in the shadows. I was convinced I died and was a ghost. It wasn't too bad. Sad and quiet.

I wouldn't choose it and hope the after this is just nothing.
