Tie a rope to it then start pulling on it with your full weight, you will know. Do you mean full or partial suspension? If you can make a slipknot on it and your legs would still not touch the floor then sure, full can be achieved. If not, then partial.

Them hooks may hold you're weight for a few seconds testing it, but may not hold you actually hanging on them for the period of time needed to actually die.

The important part is not the hooks, but how they're anchored into the wall.

Simply nailed in, they'll pull out. There are special anchors to go with screws for bricks and such so that doesn't happen.
