Hey,

I understand the sedatives in he SN method are to reduce anxiety. But in the protocol I see you take them lastly, same time as the SN itself. SN is supposed to black you out fairly quickly (possibly 12min, but it varies a lot), I cant imagine the sedatives are working fast enough, do they?

Precisely "it varies a lot".

It can take up 30 minutes to lose consciousness from SN. The mega dose of benzos typically starts working as soon as 5 minutes.

Not required, but an additional assurance that you will fall asleep quickly.

I have a lot of experience with benzos [daily use for many years] and I don't understand this as well. No way that I feel anything after 5minutes. At least 15-30, with peak after 1h (also depends which ones, diazepam or clonazepam are slower, while alprazolam[xanax] is slightly faster). This is why I would advise to take benzo 10-15min before SN, but it's just my advice, you shouldn't deviate strongly from established protocols.
