Discussion Why do some want to be reincarnated?

I want to die and disappear forever. I don't want to come back in any form. I wish to cease existing and that's it. Being reincarnated means that you come back to exist, and I don't want to exist at all.

I don't want to stop existing, I want to start over. I turned to suicide because I thought I was simply too useless in my current form to enjoy life anymore. Too many things have happened to me, all I want to do is completely forget everything and be someone else.

Reincarnating would just be a game of Russian roulette. The next life could be good or a living hell. Because the condition of existence is an entropic wearing down—in human terms, that's suffering. When I die, I want to cease existing forever and leave this samsara.

I'm guessing because they see the potential in some other people's lives. Just, not their own. I tend to agree though- that it's a total lottery. How can they be confident they won't come back with even worse odds? Besides, who's life is great all the way through? I don't understand it either.

I suppose also, they may feel like their bad fortune has been self induced. That, if they had another shot, they'd make better decisions. Again though, I'm not sure why they think they'd be wiser on the next time round. If we are indeed living cycles, they obviously didn't learn from the last lifetime they experienced. Why would it be any different next time round?

I don't really understand it either. Any kind of new life after this one feels distressing to me because- how is there any guarantee it won't be the same, or worse?

Almost everyone wants to be reincarnated, because we are all attached to life in way or another. Even craving for nonexistence is a form of attachment to the world.

I really understand, no matter what I'd never want to exist, to me existence is the most torturous, dreadful and evil abomination that just causes harm and suffering torturing existing beings, all I want is for this existence to be all gone, forgotten and erased for me, to suffer in this horrific reality truly is the most terrible undeserved punishment.

I've never been able to understand why anyone would wish for the torture of existing, there's just so much evil in existing with existing beings tortured in agony every second, I'll just always see existence as the most terrible, dreadful mistake that just causes harm with no limit as to how much one can be tortured, for me only non-existence is positive and desirable, only in eternal non-existence will I be at peace from all pain and suffering, it's always torture to be conscious in this existence.
