Why do some people become famous online?

My SoundCloud nightcore and slowed + reverb account has around 810 followers and my most played track has 600k plays, then 366k, 246k, 265k, 133k, etc. I also have a TikTok video which got 561k views. I have 4k TikTok followers and 200k likes. Why does this kind of stuff happen? Why do some people blow up online?

Algorithm, some people have interesting personalitys and are funny - some mfs also just have luck

As other people said, it's thanks to algorithms. Maybe your music is also just that good.

While I'm insanely envious that what you've created has touched so many people, the only answer is that you've produced content people enjoy and want more of.

I believe it's all randomness. You might blow up because you participate in a trend at the right time based on good calculations, but why that trend became a trend is also random. It's like memes and genes, it's all random stuff that ends up winning.

People can become famous online when an algo on an online platform works in favor for them. Ofc you also have to produce relevant content that people like to watch and you need the lil bit of luck.
