Why do I keep seeing the color purple?

I could be watching TV, or staring off into the woods, and out of nowhere I see a streak of purple. I'll blink my eyes, look again and the purple will be gone. I'll lay in bed in pitch darkness, and I'll see the same streak of purple. This happens quite a bit throughout the day.

I'm beginning to think I'm losing my mind.

I have this too, but with a number. 911. I see it everywhere. Clocks, phone, TV, license plates, billboards, movies. Multiple times a day. I will pick up my phone midway through something and it will always show 9:11 as the time. It freaked me out for a while but I'm over it now. Mostly.
