I don't know if I'm just clueless, but I have no idea who decides what clothes the mortuary cosmeticians put on your body for burial (or whatever ceremony ensues for you).
I feel like I would get put in something awful and unlike myself because I've distanced myself so much from reality and people that nobody would really know what to put me in. It'll be a bunch of people I hardly like saying goodbye to someone they never truly knew. Strangers mourning a stranger. It's such a random topic but I think about it so much
Ok so my actual questions:
Does anyone know who decides what you wear?
Does anybody know or have an idea of what they'd wear/want to wear?

In my experience, they usually ask the family for clothes. I have had elderly relatives have an outfit ready in the back of the closet for when the time comes. Personally, I want a green burial so I will be butt nekked.

I honestly love the idea of eco-friendly burials, props to you for sustainability

Probably your closest family members

More often then not it's just regular formal attire people end up getting buried in, to preserve dignity I assume.

Idk about me, it would be interesting to just put on a random hoodie in the back of my closet. I've never had a fashion sense throughout any point in my life. Wouldn't make sense to attempt to rewrite that when I die.
