You need to have a certain number of forum posts (the exact number is kept secret) to get access to the chat.

But not too many

According to your post count going from 9 to 10 just know - it seems to count.

But posts in the forum games section don't count, as far as I know.

Requirements to enter chat has been changed

I received some messages recently from members asking why they are unable to enter chat. We changed the requirements to enter chat to prevent trolls and alt-accounts from entering chats easily and pursuing malicious goals. Thanks for your understanding and I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused...

It's a secret number. And I feel like it differs from account to account. I've got mine at about 30 posts. But I've seen people complaining not having an access with 50 posts. So I don't know, But it's not an insane amount.
