Do you have any loved ones that would gladly adopt your cat? If not you can always put your cat for adoption / animal shelter.

I feel your pain. I have two cats I need to rehome but I don't know anybody who would take them in. I don't think I'm going to have time to run an ad or anything, so I'm stuck for an answer. I know what's going to happen to them if I send them to a shelter, and it's too cold to just set them free. In my more morbid moments I've thought about taking them with me somehow peacefully, but I could never bring myself to do that, I love cats too much. It's definitely a good question without a good answer. I wish there was.

Do you have a Facebook? Try contacting a rescue, posting in a rehoming group, a yard sale group, there's also cat groups online if you got really desperate.

Thank you, those are some really great ideas I never thought of. I guess because I rarely get on Facebook. But thanks a lot, I'll definitely look into that.

I could very easily be in the same boat, so I definitely want to do anything I can to help out. If I think of anything else I'll post in this thread so the both of you can see.Even calling your local Petsmart or Petco, because they usually deal with cat/ dog rescue groups.
They could probably steer you in the direction of a rescue group.

I would take them with me. To you the world is a terrible place, enough to get off the planet, but the cats, hell, they can stay alive, after all they are just cats right?I found a home for kitty. Someone wants to take him. I'm glad because I would hate for him to be euthanized. I'm planning to relocate to a smaller city so it would be difficult traveling back and forth as I try to establish housing and meet pple before I move there. My cat has been very helpful I will probably unravel for a little while because of his sudden abscense.
