I thought the same thing especially at the end of November a lot were leaving and I guess a lot wanted to end it before the new year. I left also mostly because of work but I realized this is the only place I have to help with my loneliness and ruminating thoughts. I just hope everyone who left finds the peace they deserve.

Agreed. Someone should really tell those offing themselves that socializing, even on an internet forum, is exhausting - and that having to get to know new people all over again is very tiresome.

Nope you have only been on here on recently, commenting on everything, which is fine , I've been here for ages and people have disappeared, or committed suicide. Just don't know many now that's all.

It is indeed sad to see good users leave. But at the end of the day, this is a transient community. Not necessarily a revolving door, but this forum is based off of the premise of having a safe place to have a pro-choice suicide discussion with methods included.

It comes with the territory. I empathize with you though. Burning Lights, Hikikomori, Gee. It was hard losing them.

If people leave the forum for recovery purposes or to ctb and no new people join then by rate of attrition the site would be empty eventually. As a new person I read many posts for weeks before plucking up the courage to join and I really feel sad for you for how hard it must be to lose people you have forged a bond with :-(

I read all of Burning Light's posts and he was obviously a really special and sweet person with the rare quality of being far more concerned for others than himself. I hope he found his peace and is smiling on you all
