Hi there, the antiemetics necessary for the SN method require a prescription which may be very hard to get. Is there another way to get these antiemetics? How did you get yours?

I don't know what it's like in your country but, in the UK, prochlorperazine is available OTC and it's one of the 6 anti emetics that is recommended to use in the SN megathread. I have tried to get an anti emetic from the GP by telling them that I have migraines along with nausea but unfortunately I only got prescribed migraine specific medication instead of an anti emetic. Based from what I've seen, doctors are incredibly strict at prescribing an anti emetic even though it isn't even dangerous on its own so unfortunately I may have to resort to prochlorperazine but I'd honestly prefer meto or domperidone instead as the stat dose for these anti emetics is easier to understand.

Also in the UK, so good to know that prochlorperazine is available over the counter. Is it "strong enough though?"

Any protips on talking points to avoid the user above getting migraine pills only vs the right AEs?

Can't you just tell the doctor you're going on a cruise?

Or you're sick and throwing up?

I think it depends where you're based. I tried to get them prescribed (uk) and just couldn't so I ended up ordering them from a random site I found on Y all the way from India.

I'm planning on using olanzapine (anti-psychotic) as it's a dopamine blocker which also acts as an anti-emetic. It's the best I can get atm

I got Metoclopramide from ADC based in India. No prescription required. Much easier than I expected.

I'm just sharing my story, not telling anyone to do anything.

live in the US and got mine through one of those online doctor places that specializes in migraines. It's a legit service and is kind of like those online doctor services that provide birth control and plan b.

Anyway, I didn't have to actually speak to anyone. I just filled out a form. In the form it describes the treatment plan which includes the migraine pills plus something for nausea. It's built into the plan

BUT it's Zofran by default. Not meto. So in the notes section I put in a request for meto, saying that Zofran gave me (sorry for the TMI lmao) really bad gastrointestinal issues. Which is true. It causes the absolute WORST backlog in the intestines if you know what I mean. And they approved meto in place of Zofran, since that is one of the most common complaints about those who use Zofran.
